What are the account minimums?
Our account minimums to open an account is $5,000. Once the account is open, only the initial margin requirement for the contracts being traded needs to be maintained. When buying options, only the premiums paid need to be in the account. If an account has access to live quotes, it is suggested that 6 months of quote fees be available in the account; which is roughly $90.
How long does it take to open an account?
The account opening process is rather quick. For individuals, joint, or sole proprietors the paperwork can be completed entirely online in about 15 minutes. For corporations, partnerships, and trusts the paperwork can be downloaded online and completed in under an hour. How can funds be deposited?
Funds can be deposited a number of different ways. The quickest is via a bank wire. An ACH deposit can be made up to $100,000 a month. Checks can be sent in as well. Click here for the funding instructions.
Are weekly options available?
Weekly options are available for traders. Each week the options expire on Friday and are useful for hedging around report days, as well as other major events. For more information, click here.
Is there a fee for live quotes?
A couple of years ago, the CME Group began charging a fee for live quotes. The fee is $5 per exchange per month with a maximum charge of $15 per month. Delayed quotes can be used for free, however.
